Ecclesiastes 1:4
4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
This is one of the simplest statements as to the eternal existence of the earth in the entire Bible. Clearly the earth will never pass away or be destroyed. There will never be a new earth created to replace the existing earth. Such ideas are simply erroneous and go against numerous Scriptures, including this one:
Psalm 104:5
5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
If God "laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever" then the theory about the earth being annihilated and a new earth being created can be nothing more than false (also see The Annihilation of the Earth).
