In a Thursday, May 13, 1999, article on Religion Today (http://www.religiontoday.com/CurrentNewsSummary/index.htm#story4) the following news was mentioned:
In case any of you believe like these Anglicans do please note that the pope has no place in the family of Christian churches. He only has a place in the pagan religion that worships the popery as being the Holy Father and the Queen of Heaven, their pagan goddess they named after the mother of Jesus. The pope's "specific ministry concerning the discernment of truth" is in wrecking the truth with error. He is the leader of one of the largest pagan religions in the world and is single handily helping damn millions of people's souls to eternal damnation in hell. (Sorry, no purgatory like your priests have falsely told you!)Christians should recognize the pope’s authoritative role as a gift to all churches, Anglican and Roman Catholic leaders say. A joint international commission produced The Gift of Authority, a document that says the pope has "a specific ministry concerning the discernment of truth." The commission is part of a dialogue aimed at producing full unity between the two churches.
...The document recognizes the pope’s special place in the family of Christian churches, Mark Santee, Anglican bishop of Birmingham, said. The pope "is a pastor of immense authority in the Christian world as a whole," he said. The document called upon Anglican and Roman Catholic bishops to work together to serve their communities and each other.
